Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is one of my favorite beach spots to visit in the United States. A major center of tourism, Myrtle Beach is a family fun vacation spot with many beach areas, restaurants, and activities. If you’re looking for a fun getaway in the states, Myrtle Beach is definitely your go-to destination. Here are my chic recommendations on where to dine, drink, shop and stay during your visit:

EAT & DRINK
Olympic Flame Pancake House & Restaurant: Located on Ocean Boulevard, Olympic Flame Pancake House has a great selection of breakfast favorites, including eggs, pancakes, omelets, and waffles. If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot before starting your day, this place is definitely worth the visit.
House of Blues: The House of Blues is a unique chain of restaurants located across 13 cities in America with emphasis on celebrating Southern culture and music. You can get authentic dishes at the House of Blues including the Shrimp and Grits, Jambalaya, and my personal favorite, Buttermilk Fried Chicken. There is a Gospel Brunch on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with music and an all-you-can-eat buffet. This place is worth checking out if you’re in the mood for some good food and music.
Big Mike’s Soul Food: If you’re looking for some southern comfort and soul food, Big Mike’s Soul Food restaurant has it all. Delicious fried chicken, pork chops, fish, and macaroni and cheese. Once you get a taste of this place, you will most definitely be back.
Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant: A buffet styled seafood restaurant, Captain George’s has all of your seafood needs and more. Shrimp, lobster, fish, and crabs are just some of the many items this delicious buffet offers. Located directly across from Broadway at the Beach, be sure to check this spot out for dinner before a night on the town.
Broadway at the Beach: Home to tons of restaurants and bars, including Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe, Margaritaville, Senor Frogs, Fat Tuesday’s, Wet Willie’s and more, Broadway at the Beach is a must visit for more reasons than one! All of your dining, shopping, and drinking needs can be met here.
The Market Common: The Market Common offers a variety of shopping and dining options. Home to stores like Banana Republic, Anthropologie, and White House | Black Market, visitors of the Market Common will receive a relaxed and chill shopping experience when visiting these shops.
Tanger Outlets: It’s pretty hard to resist visiting outlets as they tend to have nice bargains, a great selection of items, and a variety of popular stores. J. Crew, BCBGMAXAZRIA, and Polo Ralph Lauren are just a few of the many brands housed here. Be sure to visit one of the two Tanger Outlet locations in Myrtle Beach on Highways 17 and 501.
Ripley’s Aquarium: If you’re a shark lover like me, then a visit to the Aquarium is always a fun experience. Although a little small, Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach is home to thousands of fish and sea predators. The most visited attraction in Myrtle Beach, Ripley’s Aquarium also allows for visitors to touch sharks and sting rays.
Alligators & Tigers at Barefoot Landing: Whether you’re an animal lover or not, checking out the Alligator Adventure and T.I.G.E.R.S. Preservation Station is extremely exciting and fun. Here you can watch cubs and cats play with each other, see over 700 crocodiles and alligators, snakes, lizards, and birds and even get a picture with the tiger cubs.
