Professional Home Gel Nails – Red Carpet Manicure

I’ve always loved having my nails look professionally styled. As a young girl I’d spend a lot of my pocket money on nail polish; a habit that I maintained through my teenage years and to my adult life. I’d often paint my nails a few times a week because unfortunately, with everyday activities, regular nail polish chips.

When I started working I started getting gel manicures but these were expensive, sometimes sub-par and I’d often get something I didn’t want at the insistence of the manicurist.

On my birthday in June my boyfriend Brian bought me one of the best presents I’ve ever received. A red carpet manicure gel kit. It came with all the same tools that would be used in a salon and one color polish, a red. I prefer nude shades so I went to Sally’s and purchased some colors that I liked. It is a quick and efficient way to get a professional manicure that lasts between 2-3 weeks at home and it’s saved me so much money.

Shade 423 – Slik Slip

Shade 100 – White Hot

My favourite thing about this product is that it’s so easy to do. Just paint your nails as normal and put under the ultraviolet light for a couple of minutes and boom! you’re done.

Now your nails are styled to perfection and also they are protected from the everyday trials that your hands go through.

Last point: my nails have always been brittle so growing all ten to a nice fashionable length at the same time has always been a challenge. When I applied these gel nails they gave me a lot of extra nail strength meaning I could grow out my nails more easily and get the length and  look I have always wanted.

Basically what I’m trying to say is I’m a fan of this product.

  1. Great article I particularly like the white, never thought of that colour of gel nail polish would suit me but after seeing it here I may give it a try. Now to start hinting for the equipment for my birthday and I’ll be all set. Thanks again.
